Default D2S bulb into Morette?

Does it fit? I'm looking to retro fit an OEM HID kit to my WRX (I want 4300k ) I had read that the CATZ HID kit didn't quite sit right in the housing (too long i think), and just want to check that an OEM setup will fit before i drop the cash

No. The bulb has to be modified with an H7 base which is what you get with an aftermarket retrofit kit. A standard D2S bulb won't fit properly. If you try to "make it fit" the physical/optical alignment of the bulb in the housing will most likely be off and as a result the light dispersion won't be right.
I haven't seen the CATZ kit so I can't comment on that, but I have D2S bulbs manufactured with H7-compatible bases and they fit fine.
