Do you have $32k?

Can I borrow it? I need to do a USDM STi engine/tranny swap in my wagon

Well, if the only two choices he suggests are WRX and STi, there would be reason to assume he had the funds for either of those, hence my statement

you know the rex is pretty darn good car. great performace and handling. i beleive it is more practical and economical then the sti. more freindly in terms what it offers, options. a very good overall car to have.

the sti is a also a very great car to have. a great car with great performace. but is this car pracitcal for me? is this what i need? just trying to figure out what is best for me. it seems i would like the rex more because it is practical and economical. but who knows? i might go with an sti cause of its performace.

Get a WRX. If you feel the need to go faster, you can always add later!

i have driven auto rex before. my younger brother has one. i got him into the car. i haven't driven an sti yet and i just started to learn to drive a stick from my freinds car. need a bit more practice before i get one. i think i might get a rex because i think i would enjoy more modifying and tuning the car and make it better.

Sounds like you ought to go with the WRX. If this is your first high performance car, you would likely kill yourself in an STi.

depends on what he's used to... I just lost the RS, and have never liked the low end on the WRX it's just something I couldn't get used to... I tried the EVO and all though better than the WRX, neither can hold a candle to the gobs of low end on the STi... too bad they won't make a USDM WRX with a 2.5l engine... then those that didn't want all the stuff in an STi could choose to go a little cheaper...

Default 2.5

Buy a 2.5 since it is far less expensive, and bring it over to Wasabi Racing where we can trick it out to be faster than the WRX and STi for far less. That too will help you out so that you don't have to borrow as much from your parents while in school. Think economically, performance, style and speed!

I would have to agree with you. not kill my self, but might be too much for me being a first performance car. i think i should learn to drive then get one.

i actually never really considered the 2.5rs. I always liked and wanted a rex.
