Default greddy air fuel gauge probs

I know the gauge is not very accurate, but I got it used super cheap and I figured it would be somewhat close--better than nothing. But right now it doesn't work at all. I think I have a bad sensor. Called Greddy and they don't know. At start up I get the two blinking warning lights that per the manual mean wiring problem. Then when it gets hot it alternates green and red lights and the needle starts flipping around when I hit the throttle. Does anyone know if I can hook another sensor up to it i.e. a better wide band one or if I have to use the Greddy (the greddy uses 4 wires). Where can I get either? thanks all. I hate to look at a useless gauge and I can't really sell it knowing what I know now.

Specifically does anyone know if the Honda/NTK/Bosch 5 wire will work with the Greddy gauge?

I have just started installing one in my STB Forester, I have not yet modded in the threading to hold the Greddy sensor, so I temporarily took out the regular lambda and temprarily put the sensor in there, the needle sat at 16+ full lean and flashed the red light until i got on the throttle, where it went full rich on just about any throttle position (which is consistent with the way this ride guzzles gas). The sensori have is an NTK item with a ford logo on it as well, so that could be a lead on finding a replacement.

BTW, would you be able to send me a copy of the manual and instructions, mine came with japanese.
