Unhappy Moment of silence

Today, Fathers day. I drove by CVS Pharmacy and saw something that made me feel real sad.

A green jetta pulls out of a lot and hits a gold firebird on its side pushing it over the yellow line through oncoming traffic and into a telephone pole.

Nothing happened to the person in the jetta except for a crumpled hood. The firebird on the other hand was not as fortunate.

The driver of the firebird, the father, is fine and is screaming at the top of his lungs to the paramedics people to help his wife and kids who are still trapped inside the car.

Sadly they were badly injured from the incredible hit that they weren't able to survive.

This has been bugging me since I drove by and saw all the ambulances and policemen in the area, and being curious I just had to go over and check. I just had to get this off my chest.

Lets pray for him and his family.

AHhhhhh man!! I wish people would pay attention when they drive and relize that these things are 2000 lbs killing machines if used incorrectly. That is a horrible story and I feel bad for that poor man.

Now that is really unfortunate . I hope things turn out all right as that is something no one would expect to happen to them. I pray that all of us never have the unfortunate incident above happen to us and that his wife and kid make it through.

Unhappy

Maaaan,

This makes me really sad, after I had a great day with my wife and kids. I wrote a poem today in Church about being a father:

Our Father

Perfection you hold Lord, as a Father to me,
As I face my own faults, as a father I see.

I see I should be kind, share Your vast love each day,
And shower my children, in Your own loving way.

So my children won't fear, their Lord's fatherly face,
When their own earthly father, can bathe them in grace.

And Your Holy Spirit helps, to remind me of this,
That I model my actions, from Your Heavenly kiss.

And I show to my kids, that You love them much more,
That eternity You offer us, Heaven's love is in store.

And You faithfully give, what our heart's needs may be,
As we seek out your will, and Christ's love set's us free.

I certainly will pray for them,

Larry

Geez, how fast was the jetta going to push a Firebird sideways through an intersection.

Please, everyone drive safely.

Unhappy

That's a very sad and sobering story. Let's all drive safe and maybe we can learn from this tragedy.

My prayers go out to the family and friends.

if you think of how you feel after seeing one wreck where people have been killed, imagine the paramedics, adn them seeing them all the time. thats the kind of thing that you just don't ever get used to. i don't how long you are a paramedic or a first responder, a firefighter, whatever, you never get used to it. thats what i have to look forward to in being a firefighter, that and seeing peoples house's burn. but i guess that has to be people to be there and help people whenever they need it correct? thats why people become firefighters and so on, even though you have to live through the sights of wrecks like the one from above.

once again, my prayers go out to the family and the friends.

That is very sad. I can just imagine how bad it must have been to see that. I hope his wife and kids are ok. I also hope one day that some people realize their vehicles are weapons and they have to be responsible with them just like a gun. What is it gonna take?
