Unhappy Help fitting oil pressure sender

Help! I have my car all torn apart installing boost, EGT & oil pressure gauges. Just when I thought I had all the necessary parts & pieces, I ran into a brick wall installing the oil pressure sender.

I bought a special Subaru Gallery Plug (Part# 11024AA210), to replace a stock plug under the intercooler. However, it appears the hole in the Gallery Plug is 10mm x ?? and my AutoMeter sender is 1/8" NPT. Now I'm stuck! Anyone know where I can get a plug with 1/8" threads that will fit the WRX block? Or some type of 10mm-1/8" adapter?

Thanks!

-Steve

p.s. Here's a picture of the parts in question:

Well, the Japanese use the metric system, so it's no surprise that everything on the car is threaded in BSPT. I highly doubt you will find a gallery plug threaded in NPT (not one made by Subaru, at least), so an adapter is the way to go. I know I've seen them in threads floating around somewhere on this site...I'll do some searches and post again if I find it.

Call up the guy at www.egauges.com. He's very helpful and has all kinds of weird adapters, along with gauges, senders and lots of knowledge. Plus, he's fairly close to you, so UPS Ground should be 1 or 2 day delivery.

Shopping for the best price is probably not a high priority for you at the moment, but you might also see if www.summitracing.com and www.mcmaster.com have the proper BSPT-NPT adaptor. I recall seeing BSPT-to-NPT adaptors in both places.

Good luck

I can't recall what the website was but I ended up having to order one from england. It only took about a week to get it but it was like 25 dollars and after I got it all put together it wouldn't fit. I then went to my local speed shop and picked up a stainless line and had to get two more freakin adapters for that because the line was an AN fitting. It works though. I just found the website where you can order the npt to bspt fitting. Go to www.thinkauto.com then you want to click on the online shop and then go down to threaded adpaters click on the male to female and go down to various and you will need the mfs10-3-3 part then you can go to www.jegs.com or summitracing and pick up the line and an fittings if you decide to go this route. Good luck to ya.

Good find. egauges has the correct adapter listed as a standard part. Reasonably inexpensive, too!

http://www.egauges.com/vdo_acce.asp?...Bushings&Cart=

It looks like part# R7960 (price: $3.76) is the correct one for the Suby gallery plug.

[EDIT] FWIW - I found the adapters listed on Summit's site as well, but their price is $10.69 (3 times more than egauges!)[/EDIT]
