when it comes to track times it doesnt matter...at 105*F ambient the track temp is around 110-115*F which causes the Density Altitude to be around 5500-6000ft if not more

Alright, a little backwards here, but decided to run the car completely stock, no intake or tune whatsoever to see any differences.

2008 STI w/ BBS package
COMPLETELY STOCK
AK Raceway Park, 70' Sea Level, 62 F, slight head wind

Compared to my 08 STI with AMR cold air intake and AMR 100 oct tune
AK Raceway Park, 70' sea level, 65 F, slight breeze

Was hoping to do much better, but this was the best I could muster tonight. Took our 07 STI to the track, completely stock with AP Stg 1.

AK Raceway Park
55 deg, slight east wind
Stage 1 PDX map running 90 oct
Managed this miracle run (most were 13.5-13.7's)

+.3540 RT
1.8341 60'
5.5288 330'
8.0247 ET @ 594'
8.5699 1/8 ET
82.54 1/8 MPH
13.3888 1/4 ET
102.58 1/4 MPH

Then I flashed Cobb Stg 1 93 Octane Real Time map and added a little Torco to the tank. Didn't get much better
+.1830 RT
1.8219 60'
5.4658 330'
7.9550 ET @ 594'
8.5010 1/8 ET
82.42 1/8 MPH
13.3210 1/4 ET
102.25 1/4 MPH

added slips:

A stock WRX should run 14.3-14.5 stock, soo many ppl dont know this. My car had a turbosmart Vport bov and a 2.5inch axleback, no spare/jack, 1/4 tank, overcast foggy weather and 75000kms. Out of 12 runs my best were 14.6@93 & 14.5@93, 2.0 60ft. April 1st, 2007, St.Thomas dragway, Ontario

well just got back from the track and was impressed for the temp out today, 86* and 35% humidity, not to mention first time out with the car. went 13.67@98.6 1.81 60' ap stg 1.

edit: haha, well then, 2005 STI would be the car. (and now off to fill the profile)

but hey peterz- bone stock 13.7? post more details if you dont mind, how can i shave a bit?? if i launch harder?

Bone stock...well it had been lowered, we all know how WRX's ride high from the factory!

here's the slip:
http://users.on.net/~zeidler/WSID12032008.jpg
I'll see if I can find a pic of the car from that night, but obviously mine's the 13.7.

I was launching at about 6500RPM, with the right amount of slip. First gear change was a bit soft, but the rest I just put them thru the gates. I got a bit of wheel spin on that run, so I think there's still more in it. Really it just comes down to having enough runs, enough practice. I was determined to get a 13.8, and that night I got a 13.7.

Just make sure your launch is clean, and same with your gear changes.
