Best of three runs was 13.06@104.2, I'm going to run a couple more times tomorrow on the stock BBS/RE070's and see what happens. This was on ASA JH3/Blizzak LM-22's. DCCD was set to auto, I shifted 1-2 and 4-5 @ 7000 and the rest at about 6200. Launched at a tire-spinning 5500rpms.

Yep test and tune is open from 10:00am tomorrow, I'll see you there

Maybe they'll have all the bugs worked out of the tree/timing equipment. They had a lot of problems with it today. I got there at 10:30am and left at 3:00pm after they booted me off the track for dripping water (would have been my 4th run, I got a little excited with the IC water sprayer).

First time at the drags for me.

My first run was a 13.74 but they didn't have the time slip printing

Second run I got a 13.82 at 100.4 MPH.

It was about 60F and 70% humidity at 800 feet ASL 3/4 tank of gas, I didn't remove any of my junk from the car like spare other stuff.

My mods are Cobb Stage 2 running the 93 oct MAP. Upgraded suspension.

Time slip for the second run here I'm #5:

Default First trip to dragstrip with bone stock 05 STi

This was my best time on my 5th pass. My car is completely stock, same as the day I bought it from the dealer. I launched at about 4.5k. Shifted around 6k. I let the car cool down after the first 3 passes but the engine was still pretty warm and I did not use the IC spray. Any suggestions on a better launch/shift rpm? I want to learn how to drive my car stock before I treat myself to all the bolt-on goodies

first time to a drag strip, unfortunately it was an 1/8th mile only and 1/4 mile is an hour away. mods are vishnu 321 uppipe, helix catless downpipe, custom straight 3" midpipe ending in the STOCK WRX muffler. AccessPort Stg.2-HWG 93 Oct. map Oh yeah, the K&N drop in filter too. No wet burnout bypass so I got wheelspin.

R/T 1.05
60 FT. 2.02
330 FT 5.82
1/8 ET 8.94
1/8 MPH 77.24

this was my 3rd run and the track was almost empty so it was maybe 5 minutes or less between runs.

Third Run on bone stock 2003 WRX with almost 40k on it. First awd car so still getting used to the launch.

.9705 React. (i'll explain later)
2.12 60ft.
6.190 330 ft.
9.603 1/8 E.T.
72.58 1/8 MPH

The reaction time was horrible becuase they turned the 3 yellow bulbs off so after you staged all you saw was the green. It was supposed to simulate street racing and it did a good job. Man it was fun.It was about 40 degrees out and about 65% humidity. Not sure how my times compare with other stock WRX but i'll get better times hopefully next time. I ran against a R32 and ran right with him.

Second time to the track. Got 5 runs in this time around. Mods: Borla Hush catback, K&N Drop-in, Kartboy short shifter with bushings.

I'm on the left, #735. Next to me was a very nice classic fastback Mustang.

For some reason I can't attach my timeslip, but heres what I ran on May 29, 2005 at Maryland International Raceway:

60' 1.857
330 5.363
1/8 8.263
mph 86.05
1000 10.752
1/4 12.856
mph 107.21

This was in my buddy's 04 STi, running intake, header, uppipe, downpipe, hks carbon-ti exhaust, and a crank pully at 16 lbs. boost. He has Yokohama DBS2's which I really don't like, and I think I launched a little high, around 6000rpms. I think hes getting a UTEC soon so that will be interesting. I'll try to post the timeslip later.

Your tune is probably off. How did you tune it? You probably need to lean out the A/F.

you're probably right, since it is running way rich and sometimes gets misfires from it...but i don't dare tune A/F until i get a wideband o2. i just don't trust the front o2 sensor that the ecu and utec work off of. i really need to get a dyno tune done, but cash flow right now is a problem. i have the timing stacked out pretty well in the low and high ranges and midrange has a little bump, mostly to eliminate large jumps between timing values. again, don't wanna get too radical with that either without a good dyno tune. would be nice to find someone that already has done a dyno tune for their utec on a similar setup.

Werd, tuning is everything. That's what you gotta work on to get some fast times. When I go to the track a lot of guys have more mods but I have a better tune so I beat them.

IIRC you can get a wideband for like $300. My friend had one so I was lucky, I just used his.

Third run of the day at Nebraska Motorplex with Cobb Stage II (91) and ONLY a Helix downpipe, no uppipe or exhaust. Boost at about 16.5 and temps in the 80s.

R/T: 1.109
60': 1.951
330: 5.647
1/8: 8.786
MPH: 78.33
1000: 11/425
1/4: 13.827
MPH: 96.48.

I needed a better launch and for some reason I hit fuel cut and threw a CEL with a few feet (10-20?) left. But it was hot. So I went home.

lean that out!

you have alot of room to tune there

i did 12.5@108 on ap stg 2 tbe and intake.

with the ST you should be able to tune to low 12's imo

if i had the launching experience that i do now, going from mid 1.7's to high 1.6's, i could of cut low 12's

btw- that is a great launch!!!!! good driving
