Question TV screen in center console?

Just wondering if anyone has done this in their legacy and what size/brand screen did you use. Thanks!

I haven't seen an actual TV but I have seen pics of a '01 Legacy with a Clarion (if memory serves me correctly) CD player with an DVD/MP3/Sirius Video screen that slid out of the top of the deck horizontally and then flipped up and it was about 7in x 7in

Very cool looking but i would think to be to fancy for everyday driving

Problem with Matt's screens is that they take up a double-din slot, and we don't have a guage pack up top to hold a tuner/controller. He does do nice work, though.

Depending on how many components of a video system you need, they make a bunch of LCD's that retract into a single-din slot and are only a monitor, as opposed to dvd/cd/tuner/etc.

The LCD's like that seem to go for $180-300 depending on size.

thanks for the responses. What my idea was to take up the double din with the LCD then put my CD/DVD in a guage pod up on top, but i dont know if that'll work without any precut holes for it to sit in. Ideas?

I've got an Eclipse foldable in-dash LCD screen/tuner/changer controler. I love it, and it's quite a bit less conspicuous than a bare LCD in the dash. Not a big concern for most, but I've had my other car broken into 3 times and another one stolen, so I'm sensative to what people can see when they look in window. Good luck!

thanks, its a KVT-M700 in dash 7" touchscreen from kenwood, i like it, however i wish it had an actual slot for a cd to go in the dash, i have to go switch in the trunk all the time.

oh yea and thats old, now right below it i have my gauges, most importantly my boost gauge, haha!

Thumbs up Kenwood!?

NICE!!!

I've always liked Kenwood. They just make good looking and quality decks. i know it's nothing that your KVT-M700 but I have a Kewood KP-6500. It's a 2000 model that has a detachable face and flip around dash face. That's the only reason why i got it, I thought that that was completely awesome.

Looks good though!
