Default 1/4 Mile Times? Gimme a break!

C'mon. Get real. There're a lot of people here who do more than just slam the crap out of their car, throw power mods at it, and drag it. What about track lap times? Autocross standings? Rallycross standings?

I appreciate the work you've put into this site, but perhaps the time spent putting in drag-centric features could've been better spent at enlarging the car description fields or making search work better.

I agree with you on your last paragraph. I can imagine Nick used the 1/4mile registry because all autox track are different. you're not going to be able to post your Sears time with someone in NY.... But a 1/4mile is a 1/4mile everywhere you go, am i right?

Sorry, my bad. I thought that was just a local thing for the BAIC section. I still think it's dumb, but I will PM Nick directly.

My point is that I never drag. I have absolutely zero interest in drag racing. My car, a 1999 Outback Sport, probably does times in the 20s. I dunno. I don't care.

However, I do take it to the track. Regularly. I also rallycross it. I also track my Miata. To each his own. Drag racing is a valid sport, but one I have no interest in. Also, without having tech classes with rules, it's mostly a matter of how much money you throw at your car. To me, this is pointless.

Ok, 1/4 mi, uphill in the mud during a pouring rainstorm on a twisty road with boulders on the left and a dropoff on the right, and I might be interested.

Cool suggestion, just try not to take it out like they're some enemy. It's here for us, and for you and sure it could use some suggestions. But flamin' won't get ya anywheres.

Yeah, those dirt guys think they are superior drivers or something.

(Inside joke, I just had to register and chime in)

Would be nice if NASIOC support the other types of local races a bit better, like maybe the classes that Subura is known for..

Clearly hoche *is* a sucky driver..

Congrats Hoche!

Now, how did you beat all those WRX's in your OBS with about half the horsepower while being a sucky driver?

He's just too damn consistent. I mostly race fast OR way-too-fast-and-out-of-control.... so I averaged out to second place for the year. I plan to work on my zen meditation for next year's season.
