Default Is there some sort of camera for a sub?

For some reason, my subby is the target for these kids to slide across the hood. The last time they did it, they left a huge dent in it. Now I have to replace the whole damn hood, $1600.00. Luckly, the kids parents agreed to pay for it. But, a lot of people around school think it's funny to jump on the car, and i'm not out by my car 100% of the time. Is there some sort of camera I could install or something that youl record anything done to the car? Just a thought...might be totally out of my price range anyways...

look here
you can a buy a single camera kit then put your digi in the trunk and wire the receiver via rca to to the digi (camcorder) and set it to record...walk away and see what happens...

Do you think if I hooked the camera(the small one) up to the cigarette lighter, and had it power off of that it would run my battery dead in my car? It would probably be there for 4 hours or so.

The camera can be powered on by a 9volt battery for 8 hours your camcorder should have a batter that will last at least 4 hours its a easy setup...

Areg!? Same Areg i got my Spec-C trunk tank from?
ANyway, i had a simmilar problem, not sure if its stopped or not yet because i think someone tipped them off to the camera, mines not really hidden, just because i havnt had the time, and as long as it woks, it works...

Heres the new version of what i ended up getting... http://www.electroniccity.com/shoppi...53&brandinc=61 Mines 2 pieces, the mem module (holds 650 640x480 B&W pics)and the camera, mine has more ir lights and the camera itself is just a little bigger than the ones on Ebay there... I dont know why they made it bigger/ one piece and white! weird...

That setup on E bay seems pretty cool, only thing id add (wich would take up that 9v batt) would be IR for nightime...
Check this page here, its where i got mine... http://www.electroniccity.com/shoppi...53&brandinc=61
Theres no doubt that if you wnated to spend a bit you could have a really cool 4 camera system for security and for track days, drives, meets ect...
Personally, im saving for a house with a garage out in the F'n country!
Good Luck!!
Trent

Edit for Billybobs power question...
Mine came with a cig lighter acc plug, but in the subaru, the cig lighter cannot be used for both a cig lighter and/or an accesory plug, as the plug breaks a tab out of the cig lighter cup deal. (check your owners manual :/ ) And the cig lighter is not powerd when the key is off.
That being the case, i carry a bic, and ive hardwired the power wires that were on a 12v transformer for home use into the cars fuse panel. Ive got another transformer for taking the module into the house to hook it up to the vcr and check the pics.
Ive left it on for 24 hours without worrying about the battery, so i doubt if you do use the 9v one with some sort of 12v to9v converter youll have any battery problems.
Again, G/L!
Trent

Edit again for one thats much closer to the one ive got...
