Question Cobb UniChip w/Boost Cntrl- questions

I just bought a Cobb Uni-Chip with Boost Control off of eBay for $122.00. Did I make a good purchase? How easy is thing to install? Since I am totally new to doing any mods to my 02 WRX wagon, I can only blame Harvey for taking me for a ride in his blue beast. ...Thanks Harvey.

did it come with the plug-n-play harness? if not you will have to splice the wires in to the ECU. its not really that hard, but if you don't feel comfortable messing with the electrical stuff then i recommend having someone else do it for you.

Thanks. I have a little confidence with wiring, etc, but - playing with my car's ECU does not excite me. Unfortunately, it did not come with the plug and play harness. Are these harnesses difficult to find? Or should I jsut splice? I have read that with the Dastek boost control set at 15 PSI that I need a boost gauge. So, installing the Cobb Uni-chip, boost control, etc. should not be done until I have a boost gauge. Will Flatirons do the install?

The plug-n-play adapter shouldn't be hard to find, I know Vishnu and TurboXS both sell them, so if you don't want to splice then I suggest you call them. As for the boost gauge I would say get one as soon as you can, just because you don't want to have to buy a new turbo because you didn't know it was overboosting.

Flatirons might still do the install, but the tech up there Bret moved to Mike Shaw Subaru up in Thornton, so you'd be better off going down there for it.
