Thumbs up 2002 WRX brochure just came!

It came a lot faster than I expected. After taking a look through it, I have to say I am very impressed. Everything with and on the car is super tight, and really impressive.

This really is a form follows function kind of car, and I can't wait. Little details like how the vents next to the fog lights are FUNCTIONAL for the brakes, the fender flares for bigger wheels, and of course the working hood scoop are just some of the things making me giddy.

We're in for a damn nice ride. Can't wait.

Yes there is a yellow version. I got a Draft sheet yesterday from SOA with the model codes and such for the vehicle and there was yellow listed as a color choice only in the sedan though.

......but there is NO yellow in the brochure. I saw that code and all when I order's mine too. There seems to be some speculation that they were just putting it out there to see what would happen and that it may or not be avaialable depending on demand. That's just here say though.

Just went back from LA show. The seats is identical with RS. No big difference. Better interior though.

The seats are way better than the RS seats, much softer and more comfortable. Plus the Driver seat is height adjustable.

No idea what color yellow it will be it was just a color code. As I said above the sheet was a Draft and there fore subject to change. So yellow is not 100% but I think it will come out.

You can get a brochure mailed to you by going to www.imprezawrx.com and clicking on "Sign up for WRX updates" in the upper right hand corner.

There will be 450 wrx's available in "Blaze Yellow" which is supposed to be similar to the Lexus yellow.

This is my take on the seats after sitting in them at the Detroit show. The cloth is a nice blue & black woven material. The design of the seat is similar to the RS seat but the side bolsters come out a bit further and there are more pronounced bolsters on the actual seat cushion. Now they look good and there is actually room under the head rest for your harness this time but the bolsters are SOFT. They do not hold you like a real sport seat does. I would agree that this seat is better for larger people and is appropriate for the masses.

I was all over the whole yellow idea, but the more I look at the car (and yes I like the style), I think yellow might just scream Pickachu.

Not sure though.

The brochure spends a lot of time talking about AWD. I think the new slogan for all Subes will be "Active Driving, Active Safety". It's throughout.
