Went and got my K&N filter after I ordered my GanzFlow, so I had it waiting when the intake came in. Installed them both at the same time, reset the ECU, and had a definite noticable power increase. This is the way to go! Like Jay said, GanzFlow + HiFlow Filter =

I agree. I also ordered Larry's intake and Amsoil filter, so for a month I had to drive with the intake and the stock filter. A few days ago I got the filter, but at the same time I installed the Subaru Performance 2.25 mid pipe and muffler. The car definetly felt faster, but now I don't know which part made the difference... so...

WRX Pilot,

I don't think there have been any reports of problems with the 2000/2001 MAP sensor with oiled air filters - it's just the '99 MAF has problems.

The reason I sell the intakes with or without the filters is because some people already have a K&N or AMSOIL. But, I definitely recommend a hi-flow air filter with it if you don't already have one...

Thanks for your support!

Garface, as to sound levels, there isn't much difference until about 3500 RPM at wide open throttle, and then it starts making a really cool howling sound. If you let off the gas to just cruise, it stops, so it's not something constant that will be a problem. Besides, it sounds sweet!

Wink Larry's intake+oem A/F :(......+AMSOIL :)

Thats right for all of you with Larry's intake and a the stock air filter...chuck that sucker as far as you can and get yourself an amsoil.

I ordered my intake(2.5') with an amsoil, but the amsoil just arrived, so I was driving around for about a month with the stock air filter and the car just didnt feel right...Im telling you that stock air filter just doesnt cut the mustard with Larry's intake.

I put the amsoil in today at work and the car just pulls!!! I love it!

Heh. Mine does that but I don't have a Larry's. Just the stock without the resonator. Oh, I taped over the big hole so it's still drawing all of the air from on top of the headlight.(?? SOA, why?)

I read at the local subaru parts dept that the stock subaru filters are oil impregnated, just not like we think, you know what I mean...its not a k&n or amsoil...so I dont think that the oil will cause any problems...you only have to worry about that with MAF set ups.
