Arrow Please Help, I'm trying to decide on an intake

I really want to put a good intake on my car...really soon

I have the K&N drop in now with the silencer removed (Like the scc car).
I want something better. I have a MY 99 and have been putting off an intake for some time because of the low end loss and the mas problem.
I really like the look and idea of the rallispec intake but it is a little too rich for my blood.
But if it comes down to it I'd probably pay it anyway
The iSR looks OK, but it seems like I am paying $200 for a gasket and a K&N cone filter..... I don't know,
I'm confused....
I don't have an afc and i don't want to have to get one.
Please some input would be appreciated

P.S. I do not have a MY 2000 so please don't say Larry's Intake (Nothing against it)

Well. Larry is developing one for your car. It's not quite ready yet, I think he said the guy who had the machine shop building the stuff had his car stolen, with all the prototype stuff in it. Check out his site, and maybe e-mail him and see how the developement is going. He even has a picture of what it will look like. www.imprezars.com

Wait for the Cobb one.

I have a Turn3 that will be for sale after Cobb releases his 98-99 intake.

I wondered the same thing as I have a MY99 as well, I think I will wait for Trey's intake myself. There is supposedly a better MAF avialable in the aftermarket, it was in a post today. Did removing the silencer make any diff? I will do a search on it but if you have a shortcut please post it-Arne =)

hey longisland rs i have the weapon r with a k&n filter on my99 and have 23ooo miles on the car with it.( no maf problems) it made a difference but i needed the afc to make it run richer topend. if dont want to use a fuel management system then dont remove the big torque box. before i got my intake i had a civic ex intake on my car. i turned the pipe upside down and mounted it to the box. then i put a piece of that silicone tubing on the end to mount the maf and i bought a maf adapter and put the filter on. oh ya i cut the civic pipe down like 4inches for the maf. you local so if anything i could give you a hand
