shop manual?

Has anyone recently purchased a shop manual for their RS? I haven't tried contacting my delaer yet. I found an old thread that refered to http://www.subaruparts.com/shopmanual.html, but the link doesn't work anymore. Also, what is the best alternative out there? I would really rather have $500 go toward a turbo instead.

I don't have an answer for you. Sorry.

BUT, we did bring up this "problem" with the SoA representatives in Detroit. We told them we'd like an affordable shop manual. They really seemed surprised to hear this and really didn't know how the current system worked. (We had to educate them.

)

I think Tim remarked that there is a new federal requirement to make some information available over the internet. So we'll have something eventually.

You could always get a bunch of owners together and buy one copy. Then say make numerous other copies of the manual. You know for your own personal reference and backup. If you do then let me know. I'll trade you a GTR and a Evo6 shop manual?

hmmm... so if 10 of us got together and bought one... it would be $60 a head... hmmm...we could "share" one...
