Post Ooopa! My detroit pictures (non car stuff)

Here are the pics I took durring the time we weren't looking at cars.

Alex, demonstrating how he can remotely lock a thread using nothing more than his thoughts.

Look, Jamie attempting to act shy.. almost.

Tom (SOA) made sure that Alex filled out the "if you die" waiver..

Mmmm...

ok.. everyone was giving me a hard time about my screename.. "why Fishguy?".. answer is was an aquarium specialist in a previous job tract. but I can't stand seafood.. won't touch it.. and personally a raw oyster is as far from normal seafood as I thinik you can get.. and they all wanted me to eat it. I'm weak willed.. so I did.
the only advice I got was "Don't chew it!"
I lived..

Hey you too Jim. It was great meeting all you guys. I did a search and couldn't find the Mike Tyson thread. What happened to it? Must've been deleted somehow.

*very little coherence, nyquil is my very good friend right now*

(still trying to figure out how I ended up passed out on my bathroom tile)

Well I dunno who ordered the shot with the omlette, but it turned out to be flaming cheese... OOOPA!

I'm back safe and sound... but a little worse for the wear... but I definitly caught a cold... wonder if it was from kissing all those strange girls in Detroit!

I think we're still working on getting the dinner and other pics up... I figured you guys might want to actually see some pics of the car and stuff!

Later Alligators!

Your pics look great online. Guess I'm going to have to upgrade my camera for next time. I sure hope there is a next time, anyway.

I had a great time. It was cool to finally meet some of the people behind all the names. Everyone seemed to gel very quickly, which is amazing. I felt comfortable from the start, KWIM?

Anyhow, my ego was bolstered while at the show. I sat in the WRX sedan and there were 3 guys sitting in the car already. I didn't know any of them. They were talking to each other. Then one said, "Finally Subaru brings the WRX here. I almost bought an RS, but I was holding out."

So I said, "I have a 98 RS."

He said, "Oh yeah? You going to buy a WRX then?"

"Probably not right away. My 98 is turbocharged."

He got a strange look on his face, "Oh yeah? Which kit?"

"Minnam."

"Oh yeah, Minnam. You ever go to Lagging.com and see that guy's car?"

"Um, yeah, that's my site. That's my car."

"No way! I love what you did to your car..."

And we went from there. It was very surreal.

(I do alot of paintball and one of my sites gets traffic, I've been at tournys in NY and people recognized my equipment and asked it that was the gun from the KPOG site, my site)
