Have a Nice Day? Panic at the dealership today.

Today our service department was prepping a car for delivery for me. A 2.5 RS sedan that is being picked up by a fellow I-Clubber tomorrow afternoon. While finishing up delivery of a Forester I heard one of the service advisors comment about a customer damaging an Impreza 4 door outside. In my mind I saw a gorgeous RS 4-door in flames in the parking lot. }
I ran outside to see an elderly woman standing next to a 4-door Impreza which she had just hit in the parking lot. As I walked closer I could see that it was the right color to be the sold RS in question. Everyone standing there gave me a horrified look when I noticed that it was only an L sedan that had just arrived off the truck. I think my comment of, "Thank God!" may have had something to do with their surprise. Needless to say, the RS was on the other side of the building in the cleanup bay getting a nice coat of wax. I was forced to laugh after the incident which also seemed to take everyone off guard.
EDIT:
Luckily the damage to the L sedan was very minor, and won't require any significant work to repair and the lady that did it demanded that she be allowed to pay for the damage. Kinda nice considering that she could have probably driven off without anyone even noticing she had hit the car.

Hehe, it's kinda funny how we tend to "mother" other people's cars. It's cool though, I would much rather have someone feel protective than give a damn about what could happen as if it was just another car in the lot. Us Subaru people are good people!

She is safe and sound and waiting for you in the showroom. (I wasn't about to leave her outside with that lady roaming around .)

As it turns out, I'm leaving early and should be there by noon or 1 PM. The only ride I could get. See ya in a few hours.

Matt, sorry to scare you too. If either of those RS's had been damaged you would have seen a post titled "Going to jail for assault on a customer."
