Question Can you mix synthetic oil with non synthetic?

Ugh... I just walked into walmrt to check the cases of oil and to pick up 4 bottles of 10W-30 and a lady asked me of you could mix synthetic with non synthetic oil.

and later on...... I had some older guy yapping at me saying "I bet someone makes this Super Tech or whatever it's called oil for walmart" Ugh I was itching to leave the store.. But it's always cool to help another person out

Yes. The more you put in that is synthetic the more you get the benefits.

When synthetic first came out some racers would use a blend to save money.

Today with the cost not too high I dont see the point. I run synthetic Mobil 1 in all my cars and motorcycles even air compressor pump.

Sure can. When they drain the oil out during an oil change they're not going to get ALL of the old dino oil out. I changed to Mobile 1 at my secong oil change, 6000 miles.

yes you can without any "negative" effects. however, doing so eliminates the benefits of the synthetic oil formulation. so says amsoil and other sites.

running pure synthetic is the only way to obtain the full benefits of synthetic oil. i use amsoil 0-30w and their synthetic ATF. great stuff.

Would it be bad to start using synthetic at 30,000 miles?

It would not be bad to switch to synthetic at 30K so long as you have done regular oil changes on the car. In fact, it would be good.
