I think the best place to get them was subydude in the states. I remember a post here just a while back. ~$1000 when is all done.

Import Adreneline. They're in Calgary, and they're cheaper than subydude

You can also get them through PE tuning, here in Edmonton.

Hello All:

I ordered the gold Tarmac II's for an STi from Subydude 6 days ago.

I'll advise you of delivery times and total price including any taxes, duties or brokerage fees.

(They should be well under $1000 CDN.)

Cheers, Phun

The Prodrive wheels (made specifically for the impreza) are 48mm offset I believe. The SDR's are Prodrive copies with the same offset so you'd be fine. Greater than that, people say you'd wreck your wheel bearings.

And I'd say you are crazy to remount your tires on the stockers because one bad slip and a bent/unrepairable BBS wheel will set you back MINIMUM $1000 to replace.

suby_dude uses FedEx ground I think, so it shouldn't be more than 4-5 business days. that's how long it took my lights to get here.

Well I had emailed subydude and about every other place with a website I could find selling Rota SDRs and Tarmac IIs. I didn't hear back promptly (within a few days) from any of them that had wheels in stock.
So I decided to order some last Friday (Nov 7th) from import adrenalin (since I had seen their name on this site and the guy I spoke to was quite helpful). He said they would ship out this Tuesday or Wednesday (Nov 11th or 12th). I called Thursday just to make sure the wheels had shipped.

He told me they would ship out that night and get back to me with a tracking number. I asked about shipping times and he told me 6-8 days. So I asked about faster shipping methods, and he said he'd get back to me. When I called him back he told me the wheels were shipping from California (there goes the reason to buy them from Canada) and that's why they would take the 6-8 days to ship.

I never got my tracking number last night (Thursday Nov 13th), so I called them after work today (Friday Nov 14th). I was told the wheels had shipped and that he would call the warehouse and email me the tracking number within 10 minutes. Well I let 1/2 an hour go by and have I heard nothing and have not yet received an email. Now the phone there isn't being answered (maybe they are closed now?) and I am still without a tracking number.

I'm also without any confidence in import adrenalin anymore. I'd advise everybody to stay away from them. So now I can either way for something (hopefully) to happen with these guys (which I'm scared to wonder what the worst/most plausible outcome is), or order some more and deal with them later. Their website says 25% restocking fee for cancelled orders.

This is scary. So right now I think my best case scenario is ordering some other ones and selling 1 of the 2 sets I get (when import adrenalin finally gets me my wheels sent). I can't see him letting me out of the 25% restocking fee (which is ludacris!!!!) when the "wheels have shipped" (yeah right - if they've shipped why can't I get a tracking number). So if I do end up with two sets of Rotas is anybody interested in buying a set of brand new Rota SDRs in gold or bronze?

Let me know (send me a PM), I have a feeling I'll be stuck with two sets.

Thanks guys. If anybody has any good news about import adrenalin I'd like to hear it since I'm pretty bummed about the whole thing.

Pete.

Get a hold of Aaron at NorthernPerformance.ca - he carries lots of Rota. See the new vendors threads.
