Question rally 2.5 hood

I have a 95 impreza l and was wondering if anyone knew if the 2.5 rs hood would fit on my car? If so does anyone want to sell one if they have uppgraded to a carbon fiber.

The 95 uses a different hood than the RS because as of 97 they changed the front grill and lamps of the impreza. You could purchase through SPD a hood from a WRX from before 97. And if someone where to have a left over hood from upgrading it to an aluminum or carbon fiber it would be minus the vents and scoop. Your best bet is a subaru grave yard and to find a 97 or newer ouback sport or RS and take everything the hood and the lamps and the grill. Hope this helps.

someone on the board has access to aluminum hoods for a little over $3k. I too, have a 95 wagon, and have been looking. Going through the dealer costs too much, but going to the junkyard is just as futile!! All I can say is good luck, but try and see if you can get the aluminum or go give JC a call and order the carbon fibre.. It's still cheaper than the dealer.. I know, I work at one!!

Just an FYI, but he won't be finding any pre 97 or 98 RS's in any junkyard I know of...

LOL I know what you meant.

If you did get the older style hood it would have a wider scoop to the hood. Reason is part of the scoop was sectioned off so that the air went down a duct to the turbo to cool it. The rest of the scoop went to the IC. The earlier IC's were smaller and sat at a slight angle. IF you go with a turbo later on this might be an even better setup. You could make use of the larger scoop for either the Spearco cooler or use the ducting for what it was intended for and cool the Minnam or JC turbo. Just thought I would mention it.

Question

Good idea, never even thought of it. Does anybody have a good RS hood that they have left over from a swamp to CF or Al? No scoops and vents, and color does'nt matter either. How much w/ shipping to Chicago?
