Andrew - In the world's eyes, Microsoft = Computer OS's, not console systems. SO I doubt they'll drown the market enough to squish PS2 no matter how much money they put into it.

I know about BleemCast, though somehow I doubt it will be able to play imports/backups of PSX games. Plus it looks like you need to buy their game paks to play the games (wonder what they're doing about the licensing issues in this case).

Scratch that, found a quote on their FAQ page for BleemCast -

Q - Is it possible to play back-ups of PSX games with bleem! for Dreamcast?
A - We can't prevent it since the technology that verifies that a disc is an original PSX title, is patented by Sony and if we used it, we would be in violation of that.

Well then I'll be looking for it 4th quarter, I guess.

i brought my PS2 since march... i already leave it in dust for 4 months...

but for the dreamcast i still play it everyday...

everyone knows its the games that make/break a system, not the system. call me a sucker, but MGS2 and GT2000 already has me sold on the PS2 (afaik, only available ps2?). will still wait for xbox and cube since they look promising, but dang, show me the games. its funny how people talk about how this sys is better than that one in terms of polys, frames, rendering.. ok, apply that in a compelling title and only then will it matter. -g
