Default Avo Bov

Hey guys...

I'm not familiar with the pre-WRX US Impreza's engine. I've bought a AVO BOV for my WRX. Come to find out it is made for the pre-US WRX.

Are there alot of people who upgrade to turbo's on these models???

I've had a hard time trying to sell it so I thought that I would try and get some more info into what this will fit on. Would this BOV fit on another make of car? In case I could sell it on Ebay.

I'd appreciate any help at all. I just want to get it to a good home.

I think you should look for people with JDM engine swaps. As for it fitting the GD-bugeye wrx's ej20, that I have no clue. The best way to actually find out is to ask Avo, about fitment.

I remember the story vaugely. He bought it from somone overseas with a WRX from overseas on eBay. eBay being what it is, he thought because it said "WRX" it should fit a US 02-03 (that's all we had at the time IIRC) but it's for like a v3 bent IC WRX with the honking big BOV/recirc hose. You're not going to find too many folks in here that can use that BOV, as the v1-v3 WRX or WRX STi motors are fairly uncommon in the USA.

Good memory!!!!!

Yes, I bought it in 2002 on Ebay. At that time I was uneducated about the Subaru specifics. I feel that the person I bought it from had not made it clear and was selling it as if it would fit the US motor.

I would love to get rid of this thing. I think I paid $150 for it. I'm listing it up on Ebay tonight starting at $50. I just don't want someone to make the same mistake that I did.
