Question BD Legacy and GC Impreza parts interchangeable?

I am starting to pull parts off my BD Legacy GT Sedan and I am wondering if the Cusco Strut Tower Bars and 19-21mm Rear Sway bar will fit on my mom's GC RS Sedan? I can't find an exact word on this so I was hoping you fellas may have an answer.

I was under the impression that since there were applications for each model that they wouldn't really be interchangeable. Of course, you have all the resources to discover the definitive answer. Be sure to let us know how that works out.

many parts are interchangeable; but not the strut brace or swaybars, I'm afraid.

Well, if you think about it, struts & spring are pretty much interchangable between the 2 lines, right? And you can get pillow mounts (STi, pref) same part number to use in either, right?

so then the tower brace plates will probably seat on the towers rather nicely. Its the distance between that will be the telling piece whether it works or not.

Onto the swaybar, since the track is different from GC to BD, then I'm ASSuming that the mounting points are going to differ enough for mishaps in installation, if ever successful.

Thats my naive take.

Good luck and have fun!

And there is nothing wrong with home made mods! Go for it, make them work!

Talk to you later,
GGT

Try it? The strut brace should be easy.

Strut braces are not interchangeable between the Legacy and the RS, same goes for the sway bars. I believe struts/springs are interchangeable.

Yeah, I wasn't too sure about the sways, but I thought I was onto something with the tower braces......

Something I thought of today at work (yeah, I work sometimes at the office) is that the shape of the braces are diff between the models. I believe that the GC actually bends out of the way, where as the BD pretty much goes straight across the engine bay.

Sorry for the mislead.

Later,
GGT
