Angry ARRRGGH! My Subie got nailed in a freakin' parking lot!

Sigh... I went into the Halloween store to check out their post Halloween sales. We're looking around at the skulls and such and a guy walks up and asks me if I have a bright blue car. I'm a bit wary of course and am wondering what's going on. So he says he's run into my car! We go outside and there's my poor WRB wagon sitting all by itself out in the middle of the parking lot with a freakin Nissan Pathfinder in front of it and it's front hood all crumpled up!

At least he turned out to be a nice, honest guy who told me about it and gave me his insurance info and stayed there while I called his insurance company and got everything reported.

Anyone else dealt with Metlife when one of their customers damaged your car? I'm going to definitely try to get this fixed at a dealership as I'm guessing I can get it fixed faster that way.

Actually I opened the hood and took a look and it's amazing the radiator didn't get damaged.

Unhappy

Apparently he was distracted by his child and/or wife as he backed into the parking space. (His kid had to use the bathroom)
Came in too fast, crossed over the line between the parking spaces and hit my Scoob that was parked 2 or 3 feet back from the line.

The spare tire of the car came in over the bumper of my car and crumpled the hood and bent that top bar that the intake bolts to.

Guess consumer reports was right about those damn SUV spare tires.... grrrr....

Sigh...

I would use Beechmont Subaru. They are a body shop and a lot of surrounding service centers use them. It's always a plus when the body can also adequately ascertain any mechanical damage as well. And they know Subaru's.

<shameless plug for my other thread>
If you take it to Beechmont Subaru on the 13th, you can even talk to a factory rep...
