My Sti Wheel Experience,

17" Velox VX-6R +42mm offset although very similar to SSR comp-C's DO NOT FIT.

Also,

LOAD RATING !!!!!! I have not seen this mention on this board yet and I know I am going to be big pain in the ass and ask if we can list this too. I live in Pittsburgh with crater-size pot-holes and I almost have to go with the 690kg load rating. I know that the SSR Comp-C's only have the 540kg rating(correct me if I am misinformed). I'd like to know how all of these "lighter" rims stack up against each other as to which rating they carry.

Thanks,
Justin

um, oh yeah, nana

Maybe you should of checked out the list before you tried the Velox wheels, as the wheels listed have been confirmed by the members/vendors next to the wheels. Hopefully you can return the wheels without losing to much. Nevertheless when load ratings are available I will try my best to add those to the list also.

Adam
Adam, have you confirmed this fitment personally? As the size table on Rays website is unclear "GT-C Face 1 fitment" since j generally is next to the wheels that fit the STi.

Rick

p.s. I just called Mackin and they said the fitment is 17x8_ET35 & 18x8_ET36. With that said I will not be adding any GT-C wheel to the list until we can gaurantee a confirmed fitment.

Just thought some of you would like to see some of the SSR Professors on a customers STi.

These are actually the 18x8 +49 , with a 3mm spacer, though 18x8.5's +47are also offered (no spacer needed). Body kit is full Chargespeed. Thought the car is undoubtedly aggressive, its the nicest STi I have seen to date, and looks like it jumped right off the page from a Carboy or Option photoshoot!!

I see Volk GTN 18"x7.5 on the first page, but it looks like people are using 18"x8 and 18"x8.5.

If I order Volk GTN's in 18" for an STi, what offset should I get? I want at least 8" wide without rubbing. Thanks.

As of now I am unsure of the offset and fitment for anything over a width of 7.5. However, that doesn't mean there isn't a fitment. I will keep my eyes open for more fitment specs on the GT-N's.

Haven't heard or seen any fitments as of yet. On the other hand, I have now just added the 5Zigen Pro Racer GN+ = 18x8.5_ET48 to the list .

Keep it going Rick!

I still get a kick out of seeing Vendors cut&paste of your post for their wheel fitment guides!

BTW - My wheel/tire combo cut 3/10's off my ET with a slippin clutch.

Got 350 miles on the new stg3i street/strip clutch, hopefully I will hit the track this comin weekend (Fri night drgas, Sat Sport Compact Car Only, Sun IDRC)

No need to confirm it - says so right on Volk's site - they are never wrong with the fitments displayed

Thanks fo the info Adam, as I just looked on Ray's site it seems you can either run an 18x8_ET37 or ET42. It just depends on how deep of a lip you want (ET37 = 50mm dish, and the ET42 = 44mm dish).
