Fugly is in the eye of the beholder. Just like our cars, there are many that say why & the hell would you pay $30K+ for that. Sometimes it's just about the money, not everyone has $3K to spend on the NOT cheap arse knock off wheels like fugly rotas. Which by the way are proudly driven around on my '05 STI.

Right, but looks and price aside, why put something heavier and not as strong on your car?

Like I said, performance isn't the only reason people change rims, the stockers are not really all that light as well. I run 17 X 8 - 48mm Rota Torques w/255/40/17. Why? I like the look. I run AutoX in AS which restricts the rim size, & I get 5mm wider on each side. And the price, I didn't have $3K for 12 lb race rims.

no. if you keep or stay close to the oem diameter, you'll be fine. a LOT of people have gone to 18s with no issues.

i'm on 18x8.5 +48 wheels & 255/35/18 tires which are identical to the oem diameter. many people use 235/40/18 which is slightly larger, and 245/40/18 which is larger still.

that as for the 04 usdm STi...not 05. i'm sure it'll be okay, but was wondering if it would work on an 05 for sure...and if so, what offset? it's not listed for the 05, but the superleggera is.

You're right, sorry, I even looked at your info & saw '05. Will probably fit, but you're right, kind of want to know for sure before spending that kind of $$$.

no harm no foul, i found that the OZ superleggera in a 17x8 ET40 fits...but i think i might need to roll fenders a smidge if you're driving real hard aka auto-x...but for daily driving it works for sure w/o rubbing issues that i've noticed.

i'll have to check clearance later on the backside but i'm running coilovers and they seem to clear...is there anyone else running these in a 40 offset?

I've friggin seached everywhere and I cannot find any info on this... Does anybody know the center bore size of BBS CH 18X8 +38 5x114.3 wheels? I need some hub-centric rings so I can mount them on my car correctly. It's gonna be ____mm x 56.1mm.

Both. There's a range you want to stay near, but not every wheel of a certain offset is guaranteed to fit.

I'm looking at some Rota Boosts 17x8 +48 for winter wheels on an 08 STi - can anyone confirm that this will clear the brembos?

Does Gram lights 57C 5x100 18x7.5+48 fit an STI. I bought it from a Nasioc Member and he said that they should Clear Brembos. I hope he was right because I am going to do a Brembo swap on My WRX and I am going to be pissed if they don't Fit.

Someone please help me!!!
