RCII is out of production, so you'd have to find a used set.

Default Will Mazda 3 Steel wheels fit the 08-09 Sti?

I am looking to buy some steel wheels for some winter tires on my new Sti. Will the Mazda 3 steel wheels fit the Sti? I am looking at some cheaper alternatives to get the job done.

I've heard the Mazda 3 has:
17-inch:
Width - 6.5 inches
Offset - 52.5mm
Tire size - P205/50R17 V-rated

It's whether or not they clear the face of the Brembos that is the question, test fit to see is all I can say.

you just bought a $35k car and you want to do what?

if you don't want to spend a lot, find a set of used rotas with a 5x114.3 PCD.

What he said... You could put a 215/225 on those rims, but there are cheap alternatives. Unless you happen to be able to steal those Mazda3 wheels.

Default Drive it in the winter

Why blow a pile of money on rims that are just going to get damaged by road salt and curb rash? Everyone in Canada runs steel wheels regardless of how much their car cost.
Also with the steel wheels you can run a narrower tire so you don't just float on top of the snow.
Look at what they run on the WRC cars on snow stages. There is more sense required in my climate then just looking pretty.

used rotas go for about $400...max! and even if you buy those mazda3 steelies, do you actually think they'd clear the brembos? there's more to wheel fitment than the PCD and offset. spoke design is VERY important with our brembos.

we're fully aware that narrower is better in the winter, but you have to draw the line somewhere. i'd rather have a 17x8 rota wheel with a 225/45/17 winter tire over the mazda3 steelies with 15mm spacers.

Well, not everyone. What I did is spend my money on some nice summer rims instead and used my stock BBS wheels for winter. They held up quite well in the harsh conditions.

17x7.5 Rota P45F will only fit 2008 STi with at least a 3mm spacer. They will bolt on and clear the front calipers without one, but there's less than 1mm clearance = not a good idea.

I was looking into the SSR Type F's in the 18x8/18x8.5 range because from the site they look like they have a concave/deep look, but apparently us subie owners cannot receive this look without modifications......are there any competition rims that qualify?

Can anybody tell me what dimensions I would need to clear a set of 04 Brembos. I am looking to do a brake upgrade on my 02 WRX, but apparently, my Prodrive P7's wont make the clearance (Unless someone knows differently) If anybody knows, please let me know. PM me if you can!
Thank you!

Best thing to do is find someone with an '04 STI to let you test fit.

If you were to put the same size wheels on 07 wrx and 07 sti would they be the same width? do i look for the same offset? My car looks like a chevy blazer with the stockers ...

^ i hope you don't need spacers for that when 18x9.5 +35 clear.

as for tire size, i'm thinking a 225 since you're going to be outside the fenders.

you'll need to run a 205 and loads of camber to get them to work with the DFs.

that and Fender Mods!

basically it's not a good idea.

Instead of spending money on rims and rubber to fit over the brembos for winter I just bought a 2.2l wagon with 4pots and goldies for $1000!!! same price for rims and rubber!!

Then I don't have to drive the baby in salt.

Did a search in this thread and didn't find an answer. Anyone know if the Kreuzer X series will fit an 05 STi? Looking at 18x8 with a 45 offset. If anyone knows, it would appreciated.
