What would fit better on my 04 sti

18x8.5 +48
or
18x9 +42

with a dunlop star spec 255/35/18 tire?

I have rce yellow springs about 1.5 degress of camber all around.
24 mm front bar
22 in the rear

I know i'll have to roll the rear but what would be a better set up i dont wanna pull at all. Is the 8.5 to skinny for that tire?

the car is mostly a dd with the occasional track day.

thanks

pretty much the exact same setup i have, down to the car, springs, camber, wheel specs, and tire size.

i have 18x8.5 +48 with 255s and i had to roll my fenders flat in the rear, no need for a pull, and no rear camber adjustment. i had about 1-2mm of clearance between tire and strut and never rubbed against the spring perch. i used 3mm spacers because i was rubbing under full compression up front on the fender liner. i think you'd have room with a +45 even without a pull.

right now, i'm running a 17x9 +42 with 255 re01rs. no rubbing anywhere, pretty much the same clearance as the 18x8.5 +48 between tire and strut, and tire to fender.

so all in all, you really can't go wrong but personally, i would go with the 18x9. all you'll need to do is roll the rear fender lips flat and you'll be good to go with either setup. i had my rear fenders slightly pulled so i could run spacers and try to fit a lil bit more tire

What are the bolt patterns for the 02-07 WRX Sedan and Wagon and the 06/07 STi?

I want to get some Eneki NT03's but I might be selling the wagon so I need to know the bolt patterns to see what wheels I can get.

What would my options be as far as converting a 5x100 to a 5x114.3?

find a wrecked 05-09 sti and taking off the parts or 6gunracing.net for all the parts.

there's also spacers that'll convert you to 5x114.3 but i don't advise that.

The OZ Superleggera III = 18x8_ET48 fit according to the list. ET53 is the stock offset, May or may not need spacers.

Hi guys hoping to get some answer here.

I recently purchased a set of ROTA here. 18X8.5 ET35, and I am running tanabe gf210 spring thus it's lowered 1'' front and .5 rear.

What size of tires should I run to minimize pulling and rolling fenders.

Thanks for all the help. I think I am just going to try and find some wheels that look similar to the NT03's.

both depend on spoke design.

As explained many times, the face of the Brembo caliper protrudes further than most. There has to be clearance there as well.

The '04 17 X 7.5 BBS? Some 255's may wedge on there, many different 255's fit the 17 X 8 - 5 X 114.3 of the '05 up BBS. The 1/2 inch difference may make it not possible, 245 probably.

where did you find 18x9.5 Advan RS's?

and no the 255/40/18 is far too tall.

and we don't know the offset you've found, so we can't say if it is even feasible without a stock suspension.

if you're talking about a 17x9.5 +35mm with a 255/40/17 then it's possible to make it fit with the appropriate suspension and fender mods but it wont work (nor look good) on a stock suspension.
