Um....the wheels are 17x8.5 et50...tires from the pic's are 225/45R17 Kumho MX's.

Handling was improved slightly, wheel/tire package is lighter over stock by almost 6lbs, so the car feels much faster.

Now I have 235/45R17 Toyo RA1's and the handling is greatly improved, ride is a little stiffer, but it feels like the throws out an ancor on turns, those tires just hold ALL of the road.

Cant wait to get them on the track to see what they can really do!

How do they fit? I have pinks installed, do you think the same tire/size as yours would fit with pinks?
Where did you get them and for how much?

Actually I could have gone wider on the tires since the wheels are 8.5 inches wide.

The fit is great, super tires too.

How much? $194/tire plus tax! Not cheap, but thats the price we pay.

I got them at the local BMW dealership, who stocks auto-x tires and shaves them down if you want. With AWD you dont need to shave, they will get chewed up enough on the track.

Do you think 245 would fit on STi with pinks? It's a little lower then stock. What springs do you have?
Why did you get Toyos? Were you thinking about Kumho Victoracers?

Thumbs up 245/40 17 PLEASE READ!

This size fits with room to spare. I could have gone with a bigger tire if i wanted.

They are the Hankook Ventus K104 sports 245/40 17!

PEOPLE PLEASE LISTEN, this is one incredible tire. Who cares that its the cheapest tire, hell it holds as good as my $800 pole position SO-3's.

4 tires mounted and balanced with tax $375.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes i do live in Mississippi (used to live in NY) where people love to give you a good deal and great service, but i imagine they are the lowest price tire around with this level of performance.

READ THIS NEW TIRE REVIEW! Also in the new Sport Compact Car they said "the K104's beat there 3 leading tires overall and were the cheapest by far!!!!!!

Sorry for the delayed response.

Yes 245 will fit, more likely 255's will fit also. Dont know about the pinks.

My STi suspension is still stock.

Got the Toyo's from Vivid and yes I was looking into Victoracers also.

Went with RA1's because of a huge time constraint, didnt have time to wait for shipping, had a race that weekend.

The RA1's stick like glue, soo much grip my clutch is slipping now under high load! The wheel tire combo cut 3/10th's off my 1/4 mile times!

actually we can now take the 17x8, 18x8 and 19x8 professors OFF the list unless you are willing to use a spacer...seems SSR was wrong on this as we confirmed this week via a customer car. With a 2-3mm spacer, it will work fine.

Thanks for the update, but I actually took them off the list late last week as I found info confirming that they wouldn't fit without spacers also... .

Horshack,

Do you know if the LE37T fit in any other sizes?

Also, I thought I remembered them also coming in bronze w/ a polished lip, but now I can't seem to find any... Anyone have info on this?

Which size are you looking for exactly???

Your best bet is to call Mackin directly, or PM me and I can send you to my wheel man.

I can tell you it was like pulling teeth to get Volks that fit, and still before I tested them I didnt believe anyone about it!

Plus Ray's only shows the LE37T in Silver and Gunmetal. Now you can get "custom" colors for additional charges.

Horshack,

I got answers to all of my questions, but thanks for the help.

And yes, the LE37T's can be "special" ordered in bronze. If anybody has a pair that they want to part with please let me know.

Also, what about VOLK GT-C's? Some places seem to say they will fit, while others don't. If they do in what sizes and offset?

From the looks of it the Volk GT-C's in fact don't fit the STi, as that is coming from the size tables on Rays website.

Again, at this point you cannot trust the word of a vendor unless they can confirm they have fit these wheels on a STi before. I cannt believe some of them saying they fit when over $2k worth of merchandise is at stake

I even got conflicting data from Mackin.

I wish there was an easier way to do this, I love my Volks, they are one of the lightest wheels out there!

Again, until the fat lady sings and your rolling on them, you cannot be too sure.
