Default Problem with 96 outback door locks

I have 96 legacy outback. The passenger door locks are automatically controled by the drivers side lock rocker. My problem is that the doors lock fine when the rocker is toggled to the locked position but they will rarely unlock when the rocker is toggled to the unlocked position. Anyone here have a clue as to what is wrong with the system that this is happening?

Default Subaru Outback door lock problem

Hi, thanks for the reply. I am not using the child door lock mechanism. In fact the problem afflicts the passenger side front door, both rear doors, and the wagon back gate.
