Lightbulb Anyone have a VDO Vision boost gauge installed?

I currently have a non-vision VDO boost gauge, matches the interior of my 04 WRX pretty good during the day. At night is the only problem, it illuminates green but the needle is not illuminated so it is a bit dificult to read.

My question is from what I have read it seems like the Vision version illuminates the needle too. Is this correct? So will the numbers be lit green and the needle illuminated red?

thx
jeff

Comparing the description of various boost gauges in:
http://www.egauges.com/eg_typeI.asp?Type=Turbo_Boost
it would seem that only the numbers are illuminated from the back (i.e. lights up to whatever color the light bulb & cover combo happens to be), while the red needle is an opaque red needle, and doesn't light up.

Yes they will. Very brightly, too. I think the Vision series is about as good as it gets, visually, until you go to the Omori gauges.

yeah Omori would be nice but 30 versus 100 plus is quite a difference
