Default RS-T with TPS malfunctioning...

So, I was playing with the Link today datalogging and stuff. All I could see the TPS value was at 10 even at WOT. So I take it home. I try to setup the TPS. I do, and when I do, the car dies. Started it up again, idling OK with "MAP" idle. Tried "MAP + TPS" , no luck. Started it up again, idled good, pressed the throttle and all I get is spaced out throttle response. It ould only go to 3k RPMs and not do anything else. Yes, I did everything right, no question about it, and all the settings are good. I just think that my TPS is gone, or I might have put it on backwards when I took it off the TB. Anyone have a picture of what it should look like or how it is supposed to be to be correct?

~Anthony.

Ouch!

You took the TPS off!

I will check the manual and see what the setting is supposed to be. But IIRC Subaru deems it as a non adjustable part!

Did you try loading a different map?

When you load a different MAP, you need to setup the TPS. If I do not set it up, the car runs fine. It is slow as hell, but it runs. I might switch it out with the spare that I have.

Have you checked by tapping the actual TPS signal line off the TPS with a voltmeter and see if it sends out the right values?

around closed throttle, i think it should be around 0.39-0.41V and up to 5\v at WOT, although I'm only getting like low 4s or high 3s when I push the pedal to the floor....

I don't remember which of the 4 lines off the TPS you check...let me know if you need it and I'll look it up on my car...

did you try taking the tps back off and checking if its on properly? its spring loaded and its posible that the lever inside it is on the wrong side of the throttle lever. ive had mine off a couple of times even as recently as 2 days ago and its pretty easy to check.

Maybe I put the spring loader thingy on the wrong way. I gotta check and see that.
