Question Scooby Newby needs help again

I have a stock, automatic, 2.5 RS(1998), is it worth the money or possible to make it manual. How much do u think it would cost?

Ask the transmission forum.

But, I still think that you should keep the 4EAT. I went through the same 4EAT rejection, and, in the end, I accepted my fate. I didn't have the $4k to spend on converting my car to manual and having to go through all that hassle, so I stuck with the easier route. I'm glad I did.

If you really want a manual tranny, you're better off selling your car and buying an RS with a manual transmission. It IS possible to convert your car to stick, but you'll have to go through finding a new transmission, clutch pedal assembly and necessary hardware AND finding a new ECU.

Good luck!

It may be better to spend money on improving your engine(phase 1 has a history of head gasket problem). Unless you've checked already, see what you can do to upgrade the internals of the engine. Welcome to the club.
