Default Weekend plans. Thank You, Larry Flynt!

I guess I know where I'll be this weekend.

Hustler Club prepares for debut as upscale new kid on The Block
Unofficial opening tonight; Flynt says he'll add class

Larry Flynt, the man who made America safe for pornography, will open a new "gentleman's club" in Baltimore tonight with a promise to add some class to the seedy strip-joint center known as The Block.

If nothing else, Larry Flynt's Hustler Club will bring a new architectural feature to the city's tenderloin, one block south of City Hall: a glass dance floor that allows patrons on a lower level to look up performers' skirts.

Except they won't be wearing skirts. The club is all nude.

"It's not a sleazy operation," the Hustler magazine publisher said in a telephone interview yesterday. "We run a first-class operation. And that's why we're able to be successful with so many clubs."

Sorry. The article is from The Baltimore Sun. The club is a quick 15 minute ride from my house to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Md. Now I know why we are #13 on the most fun cities list.

Yeah and #1 for alot of STD's as well.
Sorry but when I was out there Baltimore sucked. Towson was okay for what people would call "upper white trash" and then Glen Burnie which was about one of the few redeeming places in MD.

What the hell are you talking about? Baltimore is a rockin' city. I lived there for 4 years. Baltimore was #1 for syphllis, but no longer.

One word: Plush.

I was there @5-6 years ago and not much would make me want to go back there. Unless things have seriously changed (for god's sake I hope so) it was still pretty crappy. Though it was great how they had all the "gentlemen's clubs" and dance clubs all around like 2 blocks of downtown like it's own little home of perversion.

you think that glen burnie was one of the few redeeming places? that's like one of the biggest white trash, low income ghetto-ass areas of baltimore. maybe you were comparing it to your own city

try taking a drive in the fall through hunt valley (beautiful farm and horse country - and where cal ripken used to live). or federal hill, canton, and fells point for some good night-life. or some expensive specialty stores in mount washington and pikesville. or the inner harbor for the espn zone, hard rock cafe, science center, world trade center, cheesecake factory, tons of good seafood restaurants, little italy. or what about the historical sites like the shot tower, babe ruth museum, fort mchenry (where the star spangled banner was penned), george washington monument. or the beautfiul campuses of loyola college, goucher college, notre dame, and johns hopkins. the art district of mount royal ave and the meyerhoff, mechanic theatre, and lyric opera house.

need i go on? baltimore rocks!

Fells Point was cool.
I just liked some areas of Glen Burnie that weren't the ghettoed out area.

Honestly I wasn't too impressed with Baltimore (keep in mind this was almost 6 years ago). I've been to plenty of big cities and even though I hate more things about LA I would much rather go to LA than Baltimore. Oh but you do have a good ball park in Camden Yard.

Also some of those things you mention aren't exactly in Baltimore.

I've been to DC and loved going around Georgetown that place was great.
