Question Strut Brace and Intake Question HELP!!!

When I put my front strut tower brace on, the hood scoop cover under the hood hits the bar. Is some modification needed to insert the bar properly (my00RS)?
I'm assuming the bend of the bar goes up and over....not down and accoss!
Also...when I get the Larry Ganz intake, is this gonna in someway prevent from using a strut brace? Having the stock airbox in the way?
(i have a Weapon R intake now, so I can't compare)
I would appreciate any responses!
Thanks

Check out this post... I had the same problem.

And the intake doesn't block the strut tower bar at all, I have the airbox and the bar clears it, but like you said, the hood doesn't close.

Wouldn't I have to worry about water getting under the hood through the scoop?

Don't know which strut tower bar you got, but I have the steel one from Subaru, and a GanzFlow(Larry's) Intake, and had no problems with anything fitting, including the plate under the scoop.

There is SO much more that can come up from UNDER the car and do damage to your engine than can get through that scoop. Remember, the engine is open on the bottom, so rain comes up. I had little chunks of hair and skin stuck in the header heat shields on my '92 wagon after driving over a cow once.
A little water won't hurt anything.

You drove over a cow? ^o.O^

I know Subies have good ground clearance for what they are, but that mighr be pushing it.
