but when it became the midnight movie phenom that it was, it was an excuse to stay out late, dress silly, act silly and have fun doing something outside the norms of society. like a secret club of freaks.

I've always wondered this myself. I've tried watching it twice unsuccessfully as I hit the STOP button due to boredom.

I mean, I appreciate Tim Curry's talent (Legend, IT, etc.), but its not visually appealing to me. Like Eric said, someone please explain more aside from mindless campy fun.

Same here. I can't watch the whole thing, and I really like Tim Curry's character acting ability.

I used to be a regular at Rocky, then I joined the cast. I started as a Transylvanian (those kooks in spandex that do 'The Time Warp') then I because my casts Doctor Scott. It was a lot of fun and I got laid almost every week.

Geez. I just found a website dedicated to the cast I was part of.

http://www.geocities.com/wutbyjanet/main.html

Then it talks about me half way down the page here:
http://www.geocities.com/wutbyjanet/drscotts.html

Someone put a lot of work into this. Strange. I don't remember anybody being this motivated on our cast.
