Question Oil changing day tommorow, question :)

Hi, I did a search, but didn't find a good answer. The question is real simple. I'm changing oil tommorow myself. I guess I will go with the conventional oil because it is my first oil change on my 01. What kinda oil should I buy? 10w-30? I am in MD, so it is cold right now. I have the genuine subaru filter and the gasket sitting here.

Much apreciated, thanks!

I use regular 5w-30 oil all year around because I live in colder climates (NYS). 5w-30 flows better in cold than 10w-30. I would use 5w-30 if I were you. You need about 4.1 qts.

For my first oil change I used Mobil 1 5w30, partly because winter was coming on, and partly because WalMart had a good price. No problems so far, and hopefully I'll be able to find some 10w30 by the time spring is springing.
