Whats the function of a Roofscoop?

i see it on rally cars and stuff, whats the purpose?

It blows more air into the cabin to cool the driver and navigator (no AC in rally cars)

yep. it sucks in alot of air and kinda "wastes" some potential wind flow. comforting for the drivers though.

thats because other race cars can (and sometimes required) to have their windows down.
