It doesn't matter. Why? Because Subaru is going to sell the 17" BBS wheels as an aftermarket option (according to Mike Whelan). So you'll end up with the 16" wheels with the RE92's, then you'll have to buy the 17" wheels. Then you can buy any rubber that you want. The BBS' won't be cheap, either -- about $650 each.

I'm not sure how many sets they expect to sell at that price.

SoA seems to have worked hard on keeping MSRP down. Even if these cars had 4 pot brakes, etc, most enthusiasts who are concerned about 2 pot brakes would probably not like the 4 pot brakes either, IMO.

Hmmmm, I would guess that the 17 inch wheel upgrade would be less than $1500. I can't imagine anyone buying $2600 worth of wheels on a new car.

PS: I wish someone would post a big, clear picture of just the BBS wheel.

I wish I had one, Kelley, but the car was on a turnstile behind a barrier. Couldn't get too close unfortunately. (Plus I have a 2 year old digital = ass.) They are nice looking wheels, really nice. But too expensive.

***? Who ever heard of anybody paying $650 per wheel as an option, even if it's dealer installed? You don't even get a credit for ditching the stock 16 inchers?

I mean geez, 17" rims are a $300 option on a GS400!

If this is the case, I'll use my gold MY98's... shouldn't look too bad on a Rally Blue wagon.
