A stock R/T should be doing the 1320 in around 16.5 with 0-60 in around 8.2 or so. Unless his mods have given him some truly impressive performance gains, you should be able to beat him, but it won't be a massacre.

I had a Neon ACR with an intake and ran a 15.6. Granted the ACR weighs less than the R/T, but it should do better than 16.5.

FWIW, I'd say the RS and a Neon would be a dead heat in the 1/4...

I have an RS and my wife has an R/T. I would say the R/T is slightly quicker. The R/T should have ~160 with those mods. It has 150 stock. The intake "if iceman" frees up 5-7hp and the exhaust 2-3hp. I noticed a difference on her car when we installed the iceman. I am pretty sure the neon it lighter than the RS "R/T's not here, can't check". That will make a difference also.

Neons are way lighter than RS's. Think the RT weighs in around 2450lbs. Anyway, should be a close race, better driver will deffidently win.

By the way, those R/T's and ACR's can tear up the autocross. Kind of like a cheaper Integra Type R.

Hehehe. Yep. Those ACR's will give you a lot of headaches.. I have a 94 (technically a MY95) ACR Sedan. I haven't gotten to an auto-x yet, though. :[ Been trying to get my career and education back on track. But, the ACR is a good street/track car. Not a drag race monster by any means, tho.

Neons are pretty damn quick... there is one in particular that kicks my ass at the autocross track all the time. We'll see after I get my suspension, though.

auto-x is a diff story from the 1320 of course. The RS is slow on the 1/4, but damn quick on the auto-x.
