The first one from the left does look like a boost/ vacuum gauge. It looks like it says .05, .1, .15 (what units?), second looks like volts, and then maybe oil temp.
I can't decide if I like it or not. The gauges and the housing aren't particularly attractive, and they don't look like they'd match the rest of the interior very well. Maybe I'll just get the single boost gauge that mounts to the steering column.

yes the left one is a boost gauge in Bars not PSI. In the current Gauge pack that is where the vacuum gauge goes.

The one all the way to the right is the boost gauge.

It's in 'bars' and looks like it measures the negative values also. You can make out .05, .1 .15

.1 is close to 14.2 psi that the turbo comes with.

The title on the gague says 'Turbo'

Keith - that's the boost guage. the one farther down (on top of the steering column) is an accessory boost guage that STi sells.....they have a similar piece on the last version WRX's as an option too. They copies my guage placment though....I think I deserve royalties.

Question

KC, are you sure the new Impreza's come w/ 14.2 psi turbos? That sounds a little high. Considering the 2001's had more horsepower and torque, I would think that they'd have to have close to 20 or something for that to be correct. I'd be more inclined to agree with Jon(in CT).

Having sat in the WRX already @ Detroit, I saw the center gauge cluster in person. It was a vac/boost gauge, voltage (kinda useless), and oil temp. I would rather have a fuel pressure or legit water temp gauge in the center.

The car was spec'd to have 14.2psi of boost, but at the show we were told it would actually be only 13.7 psi stock.

Steve and I plan on writing up a quick list of all the memorable things that people might want to know. My favorite statistic was this:

The car makes 88% of it's maximum HP by 2400rpm. Beautiful! I know people here that have never even driven in a turbo car love to complain about how laggy turbo setups are, so this should make them happy.

Subaru will have no problem selling all 10K WRXs allotted this year.

PS Steve will be uploading the pics we took ASAP.

Man those gauges suck!!! they're exactly the same as the present ones but black. The gauge pack for the Japanese market looks a lot better. I think the Japanese gauge pack has larger gauges also.

What? No oil pressure gauge? I checked the UK Subaru site and they list an oil pressure gauge instead of a voltmeter in their gauge pack. Why don't we get this one too?
