Cool BE AFRAID update

Hello
More for this puzzle...I am sure you have heard about the best layed plans, and all that, the past three days did not go as planned. John (super tuner)was having tranny problems and was not on schedule, but I had a chance to meet (I posted as soon as I could and noone else came) the people responsible for the engines. The Leading Edge of Temecula CA. For years they have been building sand rail engines for sand racing in the dunes. The have a 650 hp engine (on alchohol) and several other versions that don't require alchy). Their ads are in "Sand Rail" magazine and they have a small unfinished website (they may need professional help with it - talk to Rick). They took us to lunch and we told them what "we" wanted to see in the aftermarket area. Rick and Quirt were very nice to show us around, talk about their
ECU packages, showed us their sand rails and videos, and generally talked about our experiences, racing, building, tickets, etc.
These guys are real racers...now they want to do aftermarket subaru. They had to goto
work (after about 5 hours of playing with us)
and our supposed host did not make it. He is very busy and thats why he has delegated the research and design to the best people in the field. There is still lots of work to do before the Maine Rally and probably many oppertunities to watch it in action. Al Gainey (the first Rimmer supercharger in CA)is in touch with John and may be able to set up "field trips" but last time he tried only one person came, and this time it was me, Al, (his two kids), and two friends of mine (neither of which even wants a Subaru, they just love this cutting edge or should I say "Leading Edge" stuff
Here is all the Leading Edge stuff:
