Default FS: SILVER 16x7.5 SSR Competitions - 11.5lbs - with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires

Hi Folks,

I have a set of 4 SILVER (Not Anthracite, which is more commonly available) SSR Competition wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires. These have approximately 6000 miles on them.

These wheels are FORGED and weigh just 11.5lbs in the 16x7.5 size.

The offset is a Subaru friendly 48 and these wheels are built in Japan and are specifically made for the Subaru Impreza.

The Michelin Pilot Sport A/S belongs to Michelin's Elite "Pilot" group of tires and is a Super-premium tire which performs like Max Performance Summer tires in the Dry and the Rain and grips almost like snow tires in the Snow. This WR speed rated tire (186+ mph) is Kevlar reinforced for high-speed integrity and with a treadwear rating of 400, is good for another 40,000 miles.

Photos of the wheels are available in the below link (which also includes other things that are already sold):

http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/ako...+Parts&.view=t

Price: $1500 + Shipping. These tires/wheels cost over $2100 from tirerack and is thus a steal.

Folks in Southern California obviously will not pay for shipping and can pick it up themselves.

Take care.

I have those tires on my OBS. Good all-around: crisp handling on asphalt, very workable for rallycross/gravel, surprisingly adequate in snow. I usually run 17" T1S in the summer, and studded Hakka1's in the worst of winter, so the Pilot Sports fill in for our long drawn out shoulder seasons, and summer gravel runs. Also, the power freed up from lighter wheels is quite noticeable in our feeble EJ25

I know about those tires. I used them in my WRX for a while, before I sold the REX. Excellent all-round tires.

I plan to introduce a modified thread with options for folks to buy these wheels, with and without tires. Quite a few of the folks who wrote back, wanted the wheels without the tires, which was an option I was putting off from considering all this while.

Basically, SSR Comps with the Pilots: $1500 + shipping.
SSR Comps without tires: $1000 + shipping.
