From the latest Autoweek. This is the best image I've seen so far, and it looks better than before. Although, I still don't know why these Japanese (or any for that matter) manufactuers can't design a decent looking headlamp.

6-speed, 220 HP comming from a 2 liter engine and thats only its base trim. I wonder how much the Type R will make. It is also RWD that I think will kill the celica GTS. Toyota #1 in Japan? I thought Nissan was the best.

Cool

Toyota may be the #1 car seller but when it comes to performance cars the japanese crowd are all over the Skylines, Lancer Evo's and Impreza WRX's
Those are like the top three

I thought that we found out a while back that it was going to be FWD, since it was going to be based on the Civic platform. Maybe I'm wrong?

Here are the correct specs from http://www.theautochannel.com/articl...08/012417.html
and its FWD btw.

Key features of the Acura RS-X Prototype include:
-- 2.0-liter, 16-valve DOHC engine producing approximately 200 horsepower
-- DOHC i-VTEC "intelligent" system with variable cam timing for enhanced performance and efficiency across the power band
-- Close ratio 6-speed manual transmission
-- Track-tuned fully independent front and rear suspension
-- 4-Wheel disc brakes with anti-lock braking system (ABS)
-- Sweeping curves and sharply chiseled accent lines
-- 225/45R18 Michelin Tires and BBS light alloy wheels
-- Distinctive front fascia highlighted by large, bright multi-reflector headlights and deeply beveled chin spoiler
-- Sporty rear fascia complemented by a four-lamp taillight assembly
-- Recaro sport seats and perforated black leather trim
-- Power moonroof
-- AM/FM/Cassette/CD stereo with 6-disc in-dash CD changer and trunk mounted subwoofer

I doubt the wheels/tires and recaro seats will make it to production. 18" is pretty big for that car.

Wink

If a Type R version comes out this year then no WRX for me
There's just something about Honda's that make me feel all tingly
Imagine a better Type R then the current one, more power from the new I-Vtec engine, better handling, 9000 RPM redline, a race car outta the box
Sadly i'm not that confident that a Type R model will make it in this year so maybe the WRX afterall

I don't know how much tuning potential there really is. 200h.p. out of a 2 liter NA engine sounds pretty tuned already. Plus if it's like other V-Tec Integras there no torque down low.

To paraphrase an old line, people talk horsepower and drive torque.

A nice fat turbocharger torque curve works better for me. Also turbo upgrades are relatively easy to do. And lastly AWD vs FWD, end of story Subaru wins.

I don't think the low end torque will suffer too much. Here's a good article on the new motor explaining the i-vtec and varial intake runner to improve the lower to mid torque. http://asia.vtec.net/article/k20a/

yeah, I really like the look too. I am a big Honda fan, but the WRX is looking mighty tempting. I heard the RSX may have around 140 lbs of torque.

Its too much like the Civic coupe... Kinda like a Hatchback Civic coupe with the Integra tail lights.

If it was RWD, I would like it... Too bad

RWD, i wish...if it was i would buy one in a heartbeat.

But, i think it looks like ass. They took waht was good about the current integra design, thre it out the window, and took all the bad parts of the Celica, Couger, and Civic, and threw it all together, and somehow came up with this abomination.

Personally, i dont like any of the aformention cars. Celica's are weak. Ive seen more trannys go out in the new celicas then ive seen in any other car, new or old. Why did they have to get rid of the ST series? Couger: Ford, need i say more. Civic, oh, your mom has one, and so does your sister, AND your mother...gee, i though i was being original with my Civic...right.

I think there are alot of thigns they could have done differently about this car. But, i will admit the integra 3rd gen body style was getting a little tired. But tired enough for this? I just lothe the day Shogun makes a body kit for it, and every little ricer with rich mommys and daddys put one on to it. Yuk.

Ill stick with the not so preaty WRX, at least it has some class to it.

I like it! If I wasn't so loyal to Subaru I would think about getting one but I am going to get a WRX STi if one ever comes here!
