Our tax dollars hard at work! My friend said he saw a WRX cop car around I-25 and University. I don't understand why they would do that.

The owner of this car is a photographer for the State Patrol.

It was just made to look like this for a photo shoot.

yup, that's the one SubaruGuru. He sent me 2 others as well.

I never understood why cops drive landbarge crown vics... economy I guess ...not fuel, but vehicle cost.

haha - just checked the clubwrx thread. good stuff. still cool as hell I think... and even better that it won't be chasing me down the road (not that an STi would be behind me for long )

read an article somewhere last year about a state patrol testing out the WRX (non STi) and the remarks were that it was great but due to the seats the officer said they couldn't realisticly sit in the car all day.. I think the seats are comfortable, but I could see large people having some issues.. I believe the Aussie police are equipped with STi's and I know some police agencies in Alaska use some Subaru's.. so I wouldn't be surprised to see some STi's with official traffic cops driving them soon.

I believe it has to do with contracting to the lowest bidder.

Have you seen how much CR*P they have to wear on their belts? I can't see them squeezing into the seats all day either.

I have problems with two cell phones on my belt and I hate donuts

Donuts or spare tire?

I love donuts! Can throw down a dozen or more for breakfast. For some reason, they don't stick to me.

That is badd ass smoking hot!!!!! I like the new concept the police are using to get street racers as well as become a positive role in dissuading people from doing it.
