C'mon guys. You're fixing a problem by blowing a hole in it.
I have like 10 posts in the New England Forum this week that could have been deleted by users - such as mistakes, cross posts, and double posts, etc. But now they are all dependent on me and other moderators to clean stuff up.

I know there are a few bad eggs out there, but I feel we are punishing everyone. Lets buy a tape backup or something. Didn't you guys raise all kinds of money for stuff like that? UBB can be backed up and restored in case of problems. Can we get volunteers to put all the important archive info into HTML?? We will help!

Restricting the board all up - is not helping anyone. IMHO
Thanks,
Kris

Agreed, not being able to delete is annoying.

However, one advantage was that no deletes did a nice job screwing up those stupid three word stories.

I with webkris on this one. I can't stand when the board is slow=double post and you can't delete it.

yup. tried to delete a temp post i made to someone the other day and couldnt... it would let us take a lot of one time stuff off the board... and with the # of members growing each day, reducing the # of useless posts is a must.
