Question When to clean the K&N Drop in filter

Does anyone know how often this filter should be cleaned and how to do it?

K&N says every 30,000 miles... Check their site to make sure. www.knfilters.com

When it's dirty?

If you're just doing on-road daily driving, I'd check it every now and again (Annual at least) too see how it's doing. If it's dirty looking, it's probably time to think about cleaning it. There's some solvent out there for the K&N's, I think you soak it in that, rinse it off, and let it dry. Then re-oil it, and reinstall.

I clean mine and oil it once a year if it looks dirty or not. The oil can dry out and reduce the ability to grab dirt.
