Question Oil temp gauge. What sender?

I just ordered a VDO oil temp (and boost and EGT) gauge.

Where does the sender go? They want to know the thread size, but I don't even know where the probe will mount.

Anyone done this?

Oil temp normally goes in the oil pan.

You have two choices:

Use a modified oil pan plug
Weld a threaded boss into the oil pan.

Thanks. The pan will be off anyway to weld the oil return.
