Exclamation Can't Stand being around the WRX(not what u might think)

Man! I was just peeking around the one of local dealerships and got to see a SRP WRX wagon. I had no real intention of buying, just lookin at a WRX for the first time up close. A salesman who saw me drive up in my 01 RS then says he can get a sweet trade in and into new WRX. I tell him the deal that I was just lookin for the heck of it and that fer $25,000(fer my baby) I'm sorry but the car's looks count!
I then proceeded to open the door and look about the cabin and oddly enough I could almost hear the Rex talkin to me...the sirens call of the WRX!!! I suddenly began to entertain the idea of trading in my 2 month old baby. The interior was relatively nice although there was something intangible about the machine that was psychologically alluring me to it...Suddenly the homely face didn't even occur to me, the $30 grand for the this new thing was totally attainable and a bargain at double the price...Then as soon as I closed the door and was outside again, I was myself. No longer in the desirous atmosphere of the WRX and totally shocked at what I was just seriously considering just moments ago.
I then hurried away, afraid to ever sit within a Rex ever again...

Anything similar for the proud owners of these evil beasts!

most definately the same symptoms i have

i'm happy with my RS.. loving it, not really thinking about the WRX or the new RS.
but then came the auto show.. sat in one.. and thought to myself it would be nice to drive one of these babies around.. that lasted until i got out of the autoshow..
but whenever i look at the WRX brochure again.. the feeling comes back.. ahhhhhh

i wonder if my girlfriend would think the new style is "cute" hehehe...
she might get a car soon.. *evilgrin*

I ran into the same problem. It took 2, or was it 3, weeks to get rid of the feeling (must have had something to do with 2 test drives). "Yes, I am the highly suggestible type." -Homer Simpson

Like Michael, I think my RS knew as she threw a code yesterday afternoon but she got a healthy dose of autoX on Sunday so I am trying to make up for it

Noup. You guys a weirdos.

I craweled all over WRX and did not find it all that much more excting than RS (Mind you I did not drive it). Same cheapo interier, funny sounding doors when closed. I did LIKE the seats, a lot. Otherways it is just a big a$$ family car with doubtful looks.

Hell, NO! I do not want one. Pehaps by the time I am done paying for RS (Only 6 more years) there will be new gen of Impreza. Perhaps even STi version too. Then I'll be heading to Subie dealer again. For now, I'll stick with RS.

Yeah, I looked at a Rally Blue automatic. I usually go for manual. I just went for a peek. I have seriously considered the possibility of trading in my almost 4 months old RS. I think I've convinced myself by reasoning about finances and throwing in a little religious words of wisdom ("In all things be content.") to stay with the RS. I'm actually quite happy with it, so why am I even thinking about moving on?

Hmm, I didn't even have to see it to know it would be a good car for me - but as I saw the stats, I was pretty sure - and when I saw it in person, it was a definate... A wagon (sorta *smirk*) in such a beautiful blue! Ohhhh!

I bought it. Actually, the fates wanted me to buy it - here I am, driving a perfectly functional civic in nearly perfect condition, and just 8 months old, when this new car I like comes out - you can't buy it off the lot (atleast not in this area, unless you go to one dealer that's gouging) and a local dealer ends up with EXACTLY (well, almost - I didn't want the cross-bar kit) the car I wanted available for immediate sale... and to top it off, because the dealer made a mistake, I even got it for UNDER MSRP as compensation (Okay, not much, but some)

I was supposed to have this car. ;-) And it's a lot more fun than a Honda Civic VP, has more power, and personality.

And I still have the civic - it was cheap, and I'd get more selling it direct, or maybe I'll keep it assa spare...
