Below is the recent email SOA send my in regards to STI versions the main thing I wanna point out is at least they sent it to the planning dept. The more emails the better
so anyone that honestly wants and is ready to purchase an STI version I highly recomend you email them:

Thank you for your recent e-mail with suggestions for offering
the WRX STi in the United States. We are not aware of any plans
at this time to offer the WRX STi models in the US.
We appreciate that you took the time to give us your comments.
We will forward them to our Product Planning Department for
their future consideration. In the past, input from our owners has
been helpful in initiating changes to our newer models. We hope
to continually improve our products and appreciate your
recommendations. Best wishes!John J. MergenSubaru of America, Inc.
